Welcome to the latest edition of the GM Homes Partnership Newsletter

The first newsletter of 2019 comes with some fantastic news - to date, we've supported 275 people into accommodation! We've exceeded our three-year target of 200 people in just the first 12 months. That's 275 people entering their own homes and no longer sleeping on the streets. Thank you to everyone who has been involved with this the programme!

This newsletter is centred around the success stories our delivery partners have been sharing with us over the last few months, some of which we showcased at our One Year Event, which took place at the Royal Exchange Theatre. You can watch some of our incredible participants tell their story in our celebration video here, and find out what Andy Burnham had to say about the programme's success so far.

In May of this year, a team from across the partnership will be running 10K in the Greater Manchester Run in support of the GM Homes Partnership. They'll be running for contributions to the participant personalisation fund - a small sum of money participants have access to which supports them in their new lives. Some have used the fund to buy their first suit for a job interview, or rekindled a forgotten hobby or passion using the fund, such as fishing. This fund has supported the mental well-being of our participants and reduces the likelihood of anti-social behaviour. One gentleman even bought a bike to help him get to work while improving his health and wellbeing.

The personal fund is administered by the GM Homes Partnership as a separate dedicated fund only used to buy personal items for the benefit and support of rough sleepers. No part of this fund is used for the cost of administering GM Homes Partnership. If you'd like to donate to the fund, you can visit the CrowdFunder page below - even a pound helps so much!

We're delighted that we have members from GMCA, GMHP and our delivery partners coming together to take part in the run. If you'd like to join the team, or even just come and support the runners, you can find more information here.
